In 23 February 2010 The Old Petroleum Refinery of Lombardia in Villasanta spilled ten million liters of oil into the river seriously damaging the ecosystem of a watercourse already in trouble. The photos document the first chaotic days, which followed this ecologic disaster and the work of those who tried to save the local fauna or what rather remained of it.
