Como Lake Elopement photographer
Even last summer it was a pleasure to be a wedding photographer for couples from all over the world who have chosen Lake Como for their wedding.
Laura and Christopher decided that Varenna would be the destination of their trip to celebrate their elopement. Varenna is a small town on the shores of Lake Como located in front of Bellagio which is connected by a ferry.
Elopement is an English word that can be traced back to the term Elope, which means to flee without looking back. The term elopement is used in the English-speaking world to refer to the impromptu wedding we see in films often set in Las Vegas. Given the increase in lake wedding tourism in recent years, it is not the first time that I have been chosen to be their Como Lake elopement photographer.
The wedding day
Laura and Christopher live in New York and I had the pleasure of meeting them just before the wedding at Villa Monastero. Villa Monastero is located in Varenna, is surrounded by a botanical garden that extends along the lakefront, and is under an arch of flowers created for the event that the couple decided to get married.
At the end of the celebration, it was possible to continue the wedding photo shoot in Varenna, first along the streets of the small Como border and then arrive at the pier. The clouds and the strong wind have characterized all the photographs of my day as Como Lake elopement photographer.
